3DMark Time Spy CPU scores very low after SLI GTX 1070

asus rog z-370 h gaming
i3 8350 k not overclocked
corsair H100i Pro RGB set to extreme in corsair iCue
16gb Corsair DDR4 @ 2,138 MHz (dual channel)
asus GTX 1070 + asus GTX 1070 SLI

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
With just one asus GTX 1070 my 3DMark Time Spy score was 5385. CPU score of 3704.

I put a second asus 1070 in my computer and got an improved overall score of 8 523 and my CPU score was still 3613

I reset my pc and now the CPU test will hardly run and my overall score has dropped dramatically to 4 215 and the CPU score was 1825.

I have reset many times, reinstalled windows, reinstalled drivers.
Any ideas?

That's probably your problem. That is barely enough Total power and probably dropping on the 12v rail running benchmarks with you and GPU fully loaded.

Strange that firestrike works and Time spy doesn't tho
