I would say that is a great score. Did you unlock those pipes on the BFG? If you did that would seem normal. If you did not the score would be over the top!

thats a UNBELIVABLE SCORE sorry but post a link to the score then i will believe.

I have never seen a XP2500 400fsb in any MB with out any OC on cpu or card achive a score like that with a vanila 6800 12 pipline on standard settings of 3dmark 03.

So PLEASE prove this could be a worlds first.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Why is that so hard to believe my slightly overclocked card scores 11800.

Your Processer is REALLY a ATHLON XP 2500 ROFL read carefully next time you have a P4 3200mhz who knows what type of P4 it is, plus your VC clock speeds are not on there yes so who knows HOW LITTLE you have OC your card and if you have used rivatuner to unlock the 4 extra piplines.
Which would inturn just make your card a little slower than the GT and Presto you end up with 11804 score.

yes a little OC i Believe you.

That score is running400/850 on the card. With the 4 pipe mod.

Default out of the box My card scored 9800 or so.just below 10,000. Programs running in the background etc.... I never leave anything running default for more than a few minutes.

I like speed and performance. As I host our local lan games on my comp while playing. I read Toms hardware, surf the internet and plag games.

My system for you.
Asus P4P800
P4 2.6@3.25 250fsb
512 MB Crucial 3500@ 2/2/2/5/7(5/4 turbo pat enabled dual)
BFG 6800 OC 128MB
onboard sound&nic.
Everything but videocard is 1 year old(Bought last christmas) and has run in the above settings for that time.

Dollar /performance wise I felt the only upgrade I needed was to replace my 5700 ultra.

Ialso dont Install things like microsoft office ,Norton a/v etc.. because of their performance hit. (MS office pro almost 10%performance hit). My XP looks like 98 all visuals off . all unnecessary services off.

your system That score is running400/850 on the card. With the 4 pipe mod. e,t,c look above

Hmmm dident you get the point hes system has:

10,000 score was without unlocking anything

with a basic not OC system below

Basic Specs:
Amd Xp 2500+
1 gig of pc2700 RAM
Asus A7n8x-e Deluxe
Nvidia BFG 6800 OC
Samsung 19" SyncMaster 955df

are you understanding somthing yet tick tick tick tick. lol

Your system rocks for 1year old, and its cool you can live without the clutter we need to help us do assignments e,t,c you must just use it for games only.

I have a question, I have p4p 800se mob 1 gig of pc 3200 drr cual channel ram a 2.8 ghz p4 and a 6800 gt overclcoked by a little. i got a 7.5 k on 3dmark 03 and would like to knwo waht i could do to increase this i ahd af on 4x. It's the settings on the free version. I was wondering because i have a btter system than you and did worse, please help me with this situation.

There are so many tweeks and performance tips it is impossible to list them all here.

Do a google search for:
Bios tweeks.
WinXP tweeks
Memory performance tweeks
We have a couple of overclocking forums and a few sticky guides to help you get started. Already here on the forums.

Overclock your processor, memory, video card,(memory and core) agp bos, pci bus and overvolt everything to make it all run stable.

My system is 1 year old. I have tinkered and toyed with it countless hours. And have it performing at max performance.

I can overclock the processor to 3.58gig. But in doing so I have to Relax the memory timings considerably. This gives me less overall Performance, even thogh the processor is overclocked 250mhz faster. Just to let you know tha a faster processor does not always mean better performance.

It takes time and a lot of patience to run benchmark after benchmark, testing each setting change to find out just how far your sum of computer components can be pushed.

Thanks a lot dude but waht among all that stuff did you do yourself and with the memory timings what about them should i change. Should increase the clock rates or decrease them.

On memory timings the lower the better,as long as it is stable. Try decreasing the memory timimgs ONE step at a time. Test for stability. Try another step. Retest .

Ideal timings would be 2/2/2/5/8 . Your memory may or may not run at these timings though. A little voltage from 2.5 to 2.6 or 2.7 or 2.85 may be needed to reach better timings.

If you plan on overclocking with your PC3200 memory set your memory to 320. this way at 250 fsb your memory will be running 200(stock speed for memory).

I have been overclocking since the days of the P75mhz, my first comp. And have learned to do most of it from Toms Hardware.
