3rd gen cpu in 2nd gen mobo

Hi guys I have searched multiple threads and cannot find my answer. ( dont worry this is not another will a 3rd gen cpu work in a 2nd gen board)

I have put a I5 3570k in my second gen board (thanks to bios already being updated). My question is altho my board says it only supports ddr 3 1333 and PCIE 2.0 would putting a 3rd gen cpu actualy change it to PCIE 3.0 and ddr3 1600mhz?

the reason I ask this I have ddr3 1600mhz and it was showing that speed after installing the cpu in the bios? - does the board just state these specs because its based on a 2gen cpu?

Btw my board is Asus p8h61 m/LE USB 3

Changing the CPU does not change the boards capabilities from PCI-E 2.0 to 3.0. It is what it is.

Ok so how about the ram speed?

board specs upto 1333mhz and with the 3570k in. It is now running at 1600mhz
