[SOLVED] 3rd gen ryzen on B450 PRIMEM-A

I am considering upgrading my cpu to a Ryzen 7 3700x but i'm not sure if i'm able to install it on my B40 PRIMEM-A. I'm pretty sure I have the latest bios version (version 2006) or is there something else i have to before i can use it?
Also i noticed that my ram was running on 2133mhz instead of 3200mhz. Is there something i should change or update get it to 3200mhz or is this normal?

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: 5700XT
PSU: TX650M
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8gb - 3200mhz
MOBO: Asus B450-MA

If you go to the support page, for your board, you will see CPU support, and what bios revision, you need, to support them. There is a setting called XMP, or DOCP, that will allow you to run your ram at its rated speed. Your motherboard manual will have said info, as well.

Thanks! About the ram speed, do i just change it to XMP OR DOCP in the bios? And why is it not automatically set to the rated speed?

DDR4's default/standard speed is typically 2133. It's rated speed is technically an overclocked speed.

Ah, so you basically get 2133mhz ram wich you can ''overclock'' to 3200mhz?
