As tested by Frostytech here the 3Rsystem Iceage 120 Boss II seems to be currently the best performing HSF for AMD cpu's and a top contender for an Intel. One problem though: where can I buy this product? I live on the east coast of the US. Thanks for your help
I took a look at the manufacturer's web site. According to their where to buy page there were no listings for North America. It appears as if the unit is only available in Europe, Asia, and Australia. A search at Goggle revealed the same results. 🙁
Looks like the HDT [Heatpipe Direct Touch] design is really catching on, thats an impressive looking cooler with the ability to run 2 120mm fans in a push pull configuration.
Yeah, haven't seen Iceage on sale anywhere in the US. The cheapest HSF that performs well on the top 5 (Intel) and #6 on AMD would be the Core Contact Freezer. Newegg has it for $20 after MIR. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835207004&cm_re=Core_Contact_Freezer-_-35-207-004-_-Product
I wish it would have the symmetry to allow the mounting of two fans instead of only one.
