3tb GTP format for multiOS

Hi I have a 3TB WD Green Caviar...
Wanted to do multi OS setup but in order to use all size, have to use gtp format instead of mbr...is this the case?
Asus Rampage IV Extreme - MB

So am planning to split and install maybe all of the following:
Ubunti
Solaris
OSX
Windows 7 (64bit)

Is this possible and will it work?
And what versions work, heard that there are versions that don't work with gtp or is there anything that does work?
Of course the most recent version available, the better right?

Am really a windows user so am not really familiar with the other OS.
Any input is definitely appreciated, thank you.
