Hello,

My 3 month old 3TB Seagate STBV3000200 external HDD just fell 2 feet onto a tiled floor and now it can't be read by windows. It starts to spin and then beeps twice and stops. I took it out the case and placed it in another sata case and it does the same. I'm think I already know the answer to this question, but is there anyway to recover the data? or to some how reset it?

Not to beat about the bush - it's history. The read/write heads have crashed in to the platters causing irreparable physical damage.
The only way data can be recovered from it (if any) is by sending it to a professional data recovery service which, as you might guess, is hugely expensive.

Ask an expert or special data recovery company for help as soon as possible. They always have their own ways to get back your data. But, you should pay for it.
