3TB HHD(WD or Seagate) be supported by HP Workstations XW6600, XW8400?

Hello,
Does anyone know whether 3TB harddisk (WD or Seagate) would be supported by HP Workstations XW6400, XW6600 & XW8400?

Although the menu of XW6400 mentions that it supports hard disk size up to 1TB, my 2TB HDD works well with it. I would like to purchase a 3TB HHD for my workstations. If anyone knows, please kindly advise 3TB HHD of which brand would be supported. Thank you.

It is actually more dependant on the OS. Win 7 has a patch that allows HDD's larger than 2TB.

Unsure about other win versions, Linux is probably not a problem (but I don't know for sure).
