First off let me apologize if this is the same as however many other posts. I find forum navigation of any type making me feel like I am navigating a claustrophobic jello maze with a pack of caffeinated kittens on my back.
I had a 3TB MyBook Live that the wireless card stopped working on. I verified this not only on my desktop but on my laptop and my friends computer as well. I removed it from the enclosure, put it into a docking station I had, and saw that the hard drive was still good and files were all still in tact. I did not transfer my files at the time, much to my dismay, because I did not have a large enough internal drive to store it on (hind sight says I should have just spread it out on a couple of the drives I have installed), Now that I have a larger drive installed, I plugged the 3TB into the motherboard and it says it needs to format before it can be accessed because it is RAW. It also shows up as two separate drives, it shows up as J and L. I plugged it into my docking station again and even bought a SATA/IDE adapter and it says the same thing minus it showing up as two. Where do I go from here? This has a couple years worth of videos on it and I would really like to salvage them.
