Hello all!

I'm making the upgrade to a 3440 x 1440 144hz monitor in the coming months here and currently my graphics cards just aren't cutting it. I have 2x Windforce 770 4gb cards, my question is, should I just simply buy a third identical card for a few hundred on Ebay, or sell the two I have and get 2x 970's or other? 3 way sli hasn't been the greatest in the past but I hear things have changed recently.

Current setup is:

i7 4770k
16gb ddr3 corsair dominator
Asrock Extreme 6 z87
2x Windforce GTX 770 4gb cards

Thoughts?

Not only will 2 970s give better performance, but VERY FEW games are optimized for 3-Way SLI. In fact, most games when using 3-Way SLI will stutter like crazy... Technically your FPS will be higher, but most games will be unplayable. It is called "micro stutter". I had 3-way SLI with my GTX 480's, and "downgraded" after about a week to regular SLI.
