Question 4+4 OR 4+16 for better performance ?

In lenovo 330 I5ICH laptop which combination gives better performance 4+4 or 4+16 ?

You might want to mention the specs to both sticks of ram that you have at your disposal. Does your laptop have solder on memory(thus the 4GB)? If so, then source an 8GB DDR4-2400Mhz stick of ram and call it a day. the maximum supported by your laptop is 16GB's. If you didn't have soldered on memory, I'd have suggested a single stick of 16GB DDR4-2400MHz ram.

20GB of ram will give better perf if you are maxing out 8GB of ram.

If your not maxing it out then you won't see a diff.
