soo I was doing some testing and it seems as if i have a stable OC of 4.5ghz on my 4790k.
I've just started to OC never done any CPU Ocing before I just wanted to know what you guys think of those numbers

Solution
That's what I was talking about, the lowest stable VCore for a particular OC is the best VCore for that OC in every aspect. Try lowering it further, to acceptable limits. Like 1.24V, then move the multiplier up, the goal is not to reach 4.7, it's to reach that OC with the lowest possible stable VCore for best temps.
Start from the basics, put the VCore on Auto, set the multiplier to 41, then boot, do a small stress test (10 min), then move the multiplier up by 1, then repeat, do this until it crashes, then put the VCore to 1.25V (assuming the Auto is not taking it too high), and repeat, if it isn't stable, increase it by 0.05V and do until it's stable. When you reach 4.6Ghz, stress test for an hour, then w/o increasing VCore, increase multiplier by 1 and boot, if it can't boot, increase VCore as explained, and you should reach 4.7Ghz stable with Vcore less than 1.35V.

How are the temps, what cooler and MoBo and RAM are you using?

stress testing for the last 30mins with 4.6ghz OC on 1.2540v temps hover at 69-74C.
Mobo: Gigabyte gaming GT Z97X
Ram: kingston hyperX beast 2400Mhz
cooler: Thermal take nic c5

update: crashed after 37mins seems to be more stable at 4.6ghz and 1.2750

just a small update, i was able to get the card stable at 1.2440v
with a 4.6ghz OC ran a 7 hour stress test hotest it got was 83C, back when i had it at stock it ran at 4.4ghz and hit 95C within 7mins of the test running. ended up crashing at stock with a temp of 97C
