I just finished overclocking my cpu ( i7 9700k) and the task managers shows that the ghz velocity is stuck in 4,97 even when I'm in my desktop without playing any games. Is this correct? Should it actually be steady (not moving at all) even though I'm not playing games. I have also runned some cpu usage tests with OCCT and the temperature goes from 40 c to 60c at 100% usage.

does this look stable?

I have mine clocked to 4,7ghz and its normal meaning comp running at that speed and is stable i think but your overlclock with that cpu the temps will go abit higher then expected since your max turbo is 4,7ghz
ok so being stuck in 4.97 is a good thing? I'm not having any temperature issues, I'm just worried if the overclock is stable or not
