Hi,

I am rebuilding my pc in which I've only replaced my HDD with a new empty one.
Now my computer won't boot anymore, it worked before I swapped out my HDD.

I've been browsing this forum for a while looking for a solution to my issue but I just got extra confused.
Whenever I boot my pc I have a black screen and my MB-speaker makes 4 short beeps after which it restarts the PC, this process keeps going.
This page says the following about the beep code: "Real Time Clock malfunction".

Things I've tried:

  • Replacing the CMOS-Battery
    Reseating RAM
Changing RAM to 2nd slot and back
My specs:

  • Motherboard: ASRock H61M-DGS (link)
    Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K (link)
RAM: 1 stick of Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB DDR3 DIMM 1866 MHz
    GPU: Club 3D Radeon R7 265
PSU: Sharkoon WPM500 Bronze 500W ATX
HDD: WD Blue WD10EZEX 1 TB
