4 dimms or 8 dimms?

I know generally 4 dimms is better

But how much better is it really? If I find a a set of 4 dims at 2400 freq and find another set of 8 at 2800, but at the same price, which should I go for?

More dimms is more better, if you have space. Especially since the 8 are faster.
Unless you're planning to overclock, people say you can get a better OC with fewer dimms.

did you check if your motherboard will support them and if they are dual or quad channel ram .

you have to check what is on the qvl list of your board some could work better then the others.
