4 k gaming

Solution
This has been a curious question of my own so I have done some looking of my own into this subject. From what I could find, it isn't truly worth it for gaming. The average person sits 1-3 ft away from their monitor. At this distance, you would need a 30+inch monitor to see any difference between 1440p and 4k. Unless you plan on gaming on a large TV, there is really no point in spending the money on parts for 4k gaming.

Also, the high-motion scenes involved with gaming in general reduce the effect of resolution on qualityy. When you are in a very fast moving scene, you are much less likely to notice any blur caused by a lower resolution because their is already motion blur. At his point, 4k gaming is not truly worth the cost...
If you have the money yes, i personally game at 4k and its beautiful. Games look amazing and its a very enjoyable expierance. But if money is tight don't waste your time, 4k gaming is expensive so if you have plenty of money yes it is worth it but if your going to get behind on bills because of it then don't waste your time.

Its worth it if you can afford it. It makes 1080p look cartoonish in comparison. I game with a 980ti on my 4k tv. It also depends how much you care about graphics. I get annoyed with the lack of visual effects that are present on the ps4. If you are going to game on 4k, get ready to spend $2000+.

I was going to get a gtx 970 4g but I'm almost sure thats enufgh do you think a gtx 970 6g can push 4k

970 only manages ~30 fps on high setting at UHD in games from 1-2 years ago. If you're willing to turn down settings, you may be able to make it work, but you're really better off getting a more powerful card if you want to game at 4K.

I would highly recommend waiting for the next generation of GPUs (Nvidia's Pascal and AMD's Polaris) to drop before you buy anything.

The true purpose of 4k is for high end video and photo editors, as well as big screen TV's and home theaters.
