4 Monitor setup

Hey guys

I've been using Toms Hardware for a long time for all my computing answers and I've finally made an account!

Currently I'm on a dual monitor set up but I'm looking to upgrade to 4 monitors. I currently have a R9 290 (1hdmi 2 dvi 1 DP) and am wondering if I will need any adapters before setting up the 4 monitors.

3 monitors are dells and 1 is a hdtv (hdmi cable to this). If I have the 3 dell monitors connected with 2 dvi cables and 1 display port cable will it all run fine or do I need any adapters? I've heard a lot about needing an active display port adapter but I believe this is if you are running to a monitor that doesn't support display port input?

adapters are not needed when using an actual display port monitor. obviously you'd only need an adapter if you needed to adapt it to something else
