Hi, this is my current rig:

i7-2600K @3.4
16GB DDR3 SDRAM
P8Z68-V (non pro) MOBO
and a AMD HD6970 (2 GB)

I have 3 monitors hooked up to the HD6970, 2 through an active display port and one through the white DVI port. There is a HDMI and further DVI port but I understand HDMI is either / or with the DVI and that you cant use both DVI ports. This is dont in Eyefinity.

I want to run a 4th VGA monitor so the only place I have left is off the CPU/MOBO graphics card.

The VGA doesnt come up as a valid display adaptor in Device Manager so I tried to install Intel Graphics driver which is on the website for the MOBO and it tells me I dont have the right hardware.

I would appreciate if you could provide any further advice, I tried searching and following examples yesterday but couldnt resolve it.

Thanks

Hdmi and dvi is not either/or and you can use both dvi. You have to use active dp with 3+, the other 2 can be any port. So you could use an adapter and use the other dvi port since you already have active dp adapters. A passive dvi-i to vga would be fine and put the other dvi-d port with the dvi cable.

But if you want to use the igpu, you need to go into bios and enable igpu multi monitor. Then you should be able to install the intel driver.
