4 emails for a single topic, is more than enough! How would you like it if I called you 4 times withing 5 days to remind you about something small? Email is my main source of communication, I get much less calls than emails ; it is very personal and, because it's important, I've set it to be intrusive so my emails client plays a loud noise on incoming new emails.
I have received 4 notices to fix a best answer on a thread. because it was done by email, I wanted to forward it along with a demand to fix this but it seem no email is available.

Is there a way to have your mailer sending me notices about choosing a
post as an answer? There's 4 sent up to now, I think 1 would be
sufficient, further reminders (about a topic that an alert have been
sent) should be in a digest sent once in a while.
No post satisfies me as a proper answer and I don't feel it's necessary
to add a reply to say: Very good alternative but it's not an answer. I
just want to let the thread die.
