I've got a Fujitsu TX200 S7 Server, with 4 drives. Those 4 drives are powered by one of those square, 4 pin ATX connectors which is plugged into a daughter board behind where the 4 drives go into their hot-swap trays.

I want to add 4 SSD drives using an Icy Dock in the DVD bay. The Icy Dock needs a standard 4-pin Molex plug.

As far as I can tell, the server has just one spare power cable, which is a male, 4 pin atx plug. So I've been looking for something to go between that and the Icy Dock and I've had no luck at all. I'm wondering if there's a reason for that, or if anyone's ever seen such a cable?

Ahh - thanks. I've had another look and on the SAS backplane (which has one of those ATX power plugs connected) there are two "mini" versions which look like power sockets. I wonder if I can plug into those to power the 5.25 drive bays. Thanks.

The biggest problem with what you are trying to do is that the 4 pin molex connector provides 5V, 12V and ground while the 4 pin ATX connector is 12V and ground only. In looking over the manual, I saw what might be one 5V wire but there aren't any spares. I found no information about the PSU (which appears to be proprietary) and how it's wired but it looks to be primarily 12V and ground (yellow and black cables were all I could see)
