4 pin Delta Fan 3 Pin Lamptron

Hello Guys, I am still confused even though I've googled this for 2 straight days, I am getting mixed answers from the information I have read. I will be purchasing a 4 pin PWM delta fan and 3 pin lamptron fan controller.

Can the lamptron 3-pin fan controller control the Delta 4-pin PWM fan via voltage? (changing the fan speed)

Some people say that it can be controlled via voltage even without using the 4th pin(blue wire). Others say that it will just run on constant speed.

Please help! Thanks

for the 4 pin

black is ground
red is +12v
green is tach
blue pwm

the 3 pin lamptron fan controller will change the voltage on the +12v causing the fan to speed up or slow down.

Yeah I know I will be putting it in Caselabs S3 case, its kinda cool knowing its so small it can produce that kind of sound lol!!!
