im planning on installing an rgb strip inside my pc but my mobo only has one 4 pin led header which is already used and the other one is a 3 pin header. question is, can i install a 4 pin led strip to the 3 pin led header?

Solution
Right, you can NOT mix the two RGB types in one circuit. But you CAN get a 4-pin RGB SPLITTER cable. For example, this

https://www.amazon.com/TronicsPros-...=gateway&sprefix=RGB+Splitter,aps,1106&sr=8-6

is a pack of two Splitters, each with three outputs from one mobo header. The units have female connectors on both ends, but come with gender-changer adapters so you can convert the outputs to male and make connections to your strips. use one of these with your single mobo 4-pin plain RGB header to connect up to three devices to that header.
