Question 4 pin power into motherboard

Hello everyone. Im sorry I'm new here, i hope this is the correct category.

I want to make an NDI streaming pc. But the power supply i have available only has 2x 4 pin cables that merge into one. But i need those to power the graphics card i will be using to render the stream.

Does the motherboard require that 4 pin power supple as I will not be using the on board display.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

The connectors used to power a graphics card are different from the ones used for a video card .


Motherboards need the 8 pin, but your video card may aswell.

Full system specs including psu make and model.
