[SOLVED] 4 pin psu plug

Hi all... Ive got a ryzen 7 3700x on a x570 motherboard and I am reading conflicting opinions on whether or not the 4 pin plug on the motherboard is really important
Can anyone tell me is this plug really necessary because the power supply does not have it?

it's not. the 3700X doesn't require that much power.
I'm running one with only the 8pin and my benchmarks do not differ more than the usual variance from reviews.
