I ordered 2 new rgb fans off of newegg to find out they do not fit into my controller that came with my case. The fans have a 4 pin connector and the controller only accepts a smaller 6 pin connector.

My main question is since my 4 pin fans do not connect to the 6 pin slots, is their a converter? or do i need to order new fans with the 6 pin power connector.

Left is new fan plug and on right is current fans plug

Fans are either 3-pin (non-PWM) or 4-pin (PWM). In general, motherboard and power fittings are 4-pin in size, which can also take a 3-pin as the unused connector is for the PWM signal. The 6-pin fitting you have suggests a bespoke connector, as part of the case design, so either the case fans came with a compatible fitting or the case manufacturer provides an adapter.

This doesn't answer your question but I have a similar problem as I need 4 pin RGB to 4 PIN pwm and the only place I could find was https://www.moddiy.com/ in Hong Kong.

Hope this helps
