I am having a very strange occurrence and am worried to move forward any more with it. First drive I noticed it with was a 2tb Seagate external drive (SATA) that was no longer getting recognized by my desktop. I couldn't find it in Device Manager, Disk Management, and a number of programs to help mount it (EaseUS, etc.). I connected it to a laptop with no luck. Next I noticed that my 3TB internal Toshiba (SATA) was also not getting recognized. In both instances, I can hear the drive spinning, it just does not show up anywhere on the computer. I went out and bought a 5TB Seagate external in hopes I could transfer everything from the two drives to it. Within a day, it too was not working on the desktop. To confirm, I tried all three drives in the laptop as well. Both Windows 8.1. Finally, this morning, I stuck an SD card in the media card reader. It is not getting recognized either! What on earth could be going on? My whole system seems to be completely normal outside of this. Everything is running on a 240GB SSD (Sandisk). Is there anything at this point that I can check? It's way too many devices to be just a coincidence.
Edit: I have tried multiple enclosures and cords for each.
