Hi, I would like to know *for sure* if the 4 TB Seagate Expansion 2.5-Inch external hard drive works with Windows XP Pro 32 bit, SP3. I am asking this because certain internets sites say it is compatible, but on the box the product is certified to be compatible with Win 7 and Win 8 only.

Help appreciated :)

Hey there Atrio12.

Unfortunately GPT (you should format the drives larger than 2.2TB by using GPT as MBR is limited to that size) is not supported by 64bit operating systems and the drive will probably not be recognized properly. There's no support for Windows XP even for the 64bit versions. You can check out that link for more info: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2581408 - scroll down for the table with Windows support for drives larger than 2.2TB.
However, there might be 3rd party programs and driver which could help you achieve that, but you'd have to look more into that.

Hope that helps.
