4 x 4 CPU connector different from motherboard

My cpu cable is the 1 8 pin connector with the other end splitting into 2 4 x 4. The problem is is that these connectors either are squares or slightly rounded. The 8 pin matches fine, but the 2 4 x 4's don't. I'm pretty sure they still plug in, haven't tried yet, but wanted to make a post about it.

The CPU power consists of 4+4 pin power connectors whereas the GPU consists of 6+2 pin connectors. So yes, the cpu power is an 8 pin, just make sure it's 4+4 not 6+2.
