Hello everyone, I am planning to buy some DDR4 rams, but I have a question, the rams that I wanna buy are 4gb, and I wanna have a total of 16 GB , I have 4 slots on my motherboard but I wanna know, if I buy 4gb individually, will all 4 work or do I need quad channel?

Solution
As long as all four sticks you ordered are identical they should allow quad-channel to work, but I'd play it safe - - find a matched pair and order two of them for a total of four sticks.
You don't need quad channel to use 4 DIMMs. Four seperate kits may not be compatible with eachother, even if they are labelled the same. It is just the way they are manufactured and that is why manufacturers sell kits of multiple dims that have been tested to work with eachother. So if you buy four of those kits, there is a chance they aren't all be compatible with eachother.
Also, I do not recommend filling up all slots on your motherboard as it does not allow for future upgrades.
