4 years old pc won't POST

Before you tell me to read the sticky on steps to perform if the pc won't post, I already did.

I built a pc somewhere near 4 years ago, and it all worked perfectly until some days ago.

I recently cleaned it from dust and since I did, once in a while it made 3 short beeps on boot (that should have been an alarm but I'm an idiot and I've never checked on it), which I read on the mobo manufacturer site indicate memory problems. One day another person used the pc and said to have heard a long series of short beeps, then used the pc normally and shut it down. In the evening, when I tried to turn it on, it didn't post, so I left it there. The next day, I tried again and this time it worked, so I found a pattern: the pc POSTs only the first time after 10-12 hours (which got me thinking of a thermic problem (?)).

I now have "breadboard built" the pc by scratch and tried to boot without ram. The first time all went good and the speaker gave me continuous long beeps, as expected (note that I hadn't turned it on since yesterday), then I turned it off and tried to boot with and a second time without ram and I got nothing, no video, no post, no speaker beeps, just fans and leds.

Is my mobo dead?

My specs are:
PSU: corsair cx430
Mobo: asrock extreme4+ fm2a88m
Cpu: AMD A10-6800K
Ram: G.Skill Ares F3-1866C9D 8GB

Note that when I tried to boot with all the hardware connected I heard the the hard disk moving too.

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

Solution
if it were the PSU, it would be unstable while running imo. It can always be the PSU, but doesn't sound like it. Worth a shot, but I feel it unlikely in this case especially with a good CX Corsair in there.

CMOS battery failure would leave him at the BIOS screen when he started it up.

I stock Gigabyte AMD FM2+ A68H to replaced failed FM2's, it's my go to because they never come back in

Your board has more features than this one though (when new) so I'd make sure it has what you need.

i think you may have dust in the sockets of the ram check and see first

3 beeps may be one of you memory sticks is not working probably try using only one at a time and see if the computer boots up

i don't think you motherboard is dead because it is beeping i do think you probably need to clean it form dust and also i would check the power supply it may be not working currently see if you can plug in a different one and see how it goes

The problem is that everything works like it should only after I left it turned off for 12 hours or so, no matter if the ram is plugged in or not! I'll definitely try with another psu as soon as I have a chance.

Sorry to resurrect this post, I still haven't had the chance to replace my mobo for lack of time, but now my pc doesn't post anymore, just speaker mobo beeps (3 shorts, short pause and 3 shorts again, followed by a long pause and a loop).
I read the Asrock beep code and this would indicate either ram problems (which I would exclude, as the same problem appears with both ram slots) or "keyboard bat" problems.
Is it the mobo 100%?
