Nothing too complex just a folder with game server stuff in it, and windows says it's gonna take 40 minutes to delete the friggin thing.

My PC has been playing up lately. It's latest trick is the "second time boot to get into windows", where it I will switch it on, and watch as it reaches the windows 7 splash screen, and then loop around to boot again and then it finally gets into windows.

Random freezes, and reboots are becoming more common - even a memory test yesterday caused it to reboot, and the "available memory" in windows out of a total of 8Gb, is now down to 7.25Gb, and I don't have any onboard graphics enabled in the BIOS...

I thought it might be a corrupt OS, or maybe my Hard Disk is failing, or maybe my power supply...But seriously, 40 minutes to delete 4 freaking gig? I am at a loss to explain it. If someone knows what it might be, let me know...

U may as well have hardware problem. HOWEVER...

Windows sometimes, is dumb (not news) and it deletes everything piecemeal.

The absolute quickest way to remove a directory and EVERYTHING below it is by command RMDIR [drive:]DIR /S /Q, for all purposes is INSTANTANEOUS. WARNING there is no undo.
