I am going to be buying a pc in the next 2 months, and i need advice on it. I came up with a build, and was curious if it was any good. The games that I will be playing are:
Star wars Battlefront
PVZ Garden Warfare 2
Minecraft
And a few other random titles that are similar.

Thanks for your help!

yeah its 40 dollars more but it is significant better.
- amd has got no upgrade path its dead end. any i5 from this platform will beat amd , hence even the i3 will beat the 8320 in gaming.
- way better power supply
- i kept your case because i think you like it
- the ssd is enough to store 5 triple a games , keeps ur pc fast. And u can install any small game u want.

Solution
There's a much better option. It's called a XBox One.

If that doesn't strike your fancy, here's a modified build that is better in the long term:

You really don't want to use DDR3 RAM with a Skylake based system. There's one or two motherboards that are compatible, but it's recommended to avoid them. There isn't even significant savings of going with DDR3 anymore so there's not much point.

Could look at something like this. Trades the SSD out for a better GPU, so it would be a little bit slower on startup and loading, but would have better graphics performance

i3-6100

I personally wouldn't recommend it either, I just assumed he already had memory he could use. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DbqhPs has an alternative build with DDR4

A few more things-
1: Should i consider waiting for AMD's Zen to come out and see if it is any good?
2: I only have slightly over $400, so i would have to wait a while to afford the lists you guys have offered.
3: Should i consider buying used?

For $400 seriously just get a XBO. Skip AMD.

Also, if you need to stay under $400, skip the graphics card for now and use the i3's integrated graphics. It's not as bad as you think. Sure you need low settings on battlefront for 1080p, but you can get decent performance even like that.

1 no
2 a good system or a 1 time use aystem for 1 year

3 no

How much of a difference is between desktop integrated gpus and laptop integrated gpus? I am coming from a pc with an i3-3110m and 4gb of ram, with no ssd. As for just buying an xbox, i would be using this for school too, and i dont want to pay the fee for gold. Plus, i dont like the controllers.

Honestly, your best bet is to get either a PS4, or an Xbox One.

All those games will look and run a lot better on one of those consoles in comparison.

As i said above, i would be using the pc for school too, and i dont want to pay for gold or anything like that.

The i3 6100 i listed should be ~4-5x faster in terms of graphics

Your post is missing an OS, which puts you at over $530 total!

No where does it say he needs the OS. You assume that. And his budget is $400 - ish. I gave him a much better build with the B150 board and GTX 950. You also recommended DDR3 RAM which Intel does not. No need to bash my build just because you disagree with it.
