$400 pc with amd fx 6300 cpu

I can also raise to $450 but I like to stay as close to $400 as possible. I'm a first time builder so anything else will do. Games I will be playing are starcraft 2, skyrim, battlefield 3(haven't gotten 4 and probably not yet), and lots of other rts strategy games.

Well I heard that cpu is a good start for a budget gaming pc. If you know other choices better with the same price range and performance that can play the games I listed then I would gladly take too. Also I've looked through the forums and saw some good pc with this cpu but a little too much for me so I want a pc build that is my range. I don't need an os,monitor,keyboard, and mouse as I already have those.

There will be people saying the FX-6300 is better, than there will be others saying the Intel i3 is better. Personally I'm on the same boat as you, I'm not sure which is better. I think that is more in US dollars right? Sorry to say but my budget is $400 -$450 US dollars. Though I would've taken the build with fx 6300.

The intel i3 is actually better, because games like powerful "strong" cores over 6 weak ones. This is also the reason why everybody buys intel core i5s instead of i7s for gaming rigs (in general).

$450 is very low, so i might have to step down the cpu even more. but ill see what i can do.

Now, you could switch the mobo to a cheapo H81 chipset motherboard, however you would loose upgradeability to 5 gen intel core i3 i5 i7 cpus.

That's euros not dollars, that is about $600. And if you can afford that kind of rig, probably around high settings 1080P.

Can I play the games I listed with that with 30fps+ at 720p? Now black friday is coming up here and I will probably get it on that day. So if I was to wait, what is the chance of the parts to get discounted and total up close to $450 based on Friji i3 build?

LOL. That build can play any of those games at 1080P high 45fps minimum.

there will probably be even more deals like on amazon and newegg, so if you wait until black friday then I'd assume you would get some good deals still.
