Is a 400 watt Psu enough for the GTX 465?

It recommends 550, I'de be running sandybridge dual core 35 watt, one 7200 hard drive, 1 4gb ram stick ddr3 1333.

Thank you.

don't think so. btw avoid that card. GTX460 1GB (non SE version) is faster and require less power to run. nvidia recommends 450w PSU with 12v rail rated at 24A for GTX460 1GB. if you can't find GTX460 you can pick GTX560 or GTX560 Ti. GTX560 Ti is slightly faster than GTX470 but running with much less power (170w) than GTX470 (225w) and GTX465 (200w)

Hell no
Without power your system is going to sit and pick up dust. Your going to pay for that psu plus a decent psu. PSU is the most important part of the setup.
Get the Corsair 430W psu then it goes around 35 at newegg.

The gtx 460 is out of my price range, the 465 I seen was 129 while the 460 is 159, unless I go for a re certified one that is 768 mb from newegg for 99?

The other ones you listen are also too expensive, my other option is going with the GTS 450 which would allow me to keep the 400 watt psu, but it is not as good a card...

Keeping in mind I would be gaming on a 19-21 inch screen, so i think the resolution would not be that high.

it does not really matter for the case but for PSU it is. generic psu always can't deliver their rated power and when they die they tend to bring some other parts together to the grave. for the card such as GTX465 they use a lot of power and often generic psu can't keep up with the power demand from the system. worst case the psu being overload and blown since generic psu did not built with safety protection. spend a little bit money on good psu and prevent your other component to be sacrificed when the generic psu fail.

if you want good quality PSU try looking for corsair, antec or FSP Group for these company are known for thier quality PSU. there are other brands as well but i believe these three are much more commonly known

Thats not a rosewill psu in there. That is something you will find made underneath a chinese firecracker factory. Its made by Powco

5 games using it and you will be better of with a dedicated physx card later on
