I've got a Silverstone Strider ST400 PSU - I plan to use it for the system that's shown below:

Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.8/1.125v

2x2 gig kit A-Data DDR2-800 @ 933 MHz/1.9v

Gigabyte G31M-S2L

EVGA GTX 280 - no overclock

Seagate 7200.10 250 gig

Samsung DVD+-RW

No system fans or weird peripherals. Of course I'll need an adapter to power the 280, but does this seem reasonable? I've read that similar configurations require about 330w or so, all of which should be covered by my 12v rails (the ST400 powers about 348w on the 12v rails alone).

What do you think?

330w is at 100% load, which will comprise less than 10 hours of use a week (spent gaming or benching).

The system will theoretically draw 150-200w at idle/low usage.

since you are the expert Im surprised you asked in the first place
