So I've really fallen behind in the pc gaming community and it's time for a new build. Would appreciate any help i could get. I would also like it to be VR ready and I'm not really thinking about watercooling if that helps with anything. Thanks.

Approximate Purchase Date: Between now and November

Budget Range: $3000-$4000AUD

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, VR use, Streaming, general usage.

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Speakers.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: centrecom.com.au or pccasegear.com

Country: Australia

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: Whichever is better to go with at the moment i guess. Full tower and vr ready would be good too.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 3440x1440

Additional Comments: Would like to have a window for rgb and reasonably quiet without watercooling

Solution
okay after doing a little bit of playing around and having a look I've made a start on a possible build that i'd do before November. Any changes/ recommendations are appreciated, I'm kinda just guessing at what I'm doing aha

Wait for upcoming hardware which are just few months away. It will be worth the wait. In the mean time add as much as possible more to the budget so that you don't have to cut corners by compromising on quality or performance to fit the budget. Go all out with the build.

You may as well just wait for the Ryzen 4000 and RTX 3000 launches if you've got that big a time window...
yeah I know that it's a big window, but I was planning to have it before then, just wanted to get it before Cyberpunk. But if they're going to be out before then i might just wait

Okay cool thanks, I'll definitely take these into consideration

For the best gaming PC sub $4000 Australian, then the 10600K matched to a RTX 2080Ti cannot be beaten other than by a 10900K and that is only be fractions. The Z490 gives an upgrade path the Rocket Lake and Gen 4 PCIe next year...For a little extra you can jump to the 10700K and both can hit 5GHz all core with relative ease with streaming not being an issue. Yes go Ryzen on the 3600 if you want to save money but the 3900X really is for productivity as in gaming the Intel 10th gen is better if gaming is the focus...
