403 Gigabytes of Mystery Storage?

Hey there! I'm concerned about the amount of storage I have left on my computer and it is now showing me accurate results? I currently have 148 GB left out of 931 GB on my HDD. Note that I also do not have windows installed on this drive and it is installed on my C: drive. When I select every single folder on my HDD and click properties it says that I have a total of 378 GB on my D: drive but that's not the same as the 783 GB that it's saying is taken up in total.

Really want to get to the bottom of this. Any ideas as to why it's doing this? Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I hope the imgur link is what you meant by screen cap. So I have a lot of backups apparently. Should I remove all of them except for the most recent one? Thanks again

Well, you have backups going back 2 years.
You probably don't need all of those.

What created those? Windows, or other software?

I honestly have no idea. Windows was downloaded onto my C: drive so I don't know if it would have backups on this drive or how I would really check. Wouldn't know of another software to do something like that. The folder is the name of my desktop so I suppose it must be something Windows related I'm assuming? Thanks a lot for your help, I'm going to delete every backup except for the most recent one and I'll keep an eye out if any other backups appear.
