Hello all.
Gu605mi is the rog zepherus g16. Typo.

It is supposed to switch between Intel cpu graphics and the 4070 depending on usage. But when I run superposition and or heaven benchmark it dies not switch. I get 11 fps on 4k. In the task manager performance it only shows the Intel arc graphics. Under device manger it shows both. In device manager the 4070 has an exclamation on it. GPUz also shows the arc as primary and the 4070 under it.

What is going on? Thx

I want my 4090 to kick in automatically during a game or benchmark. anyway to make it be. I already have it on standard in armoury crate which it should switch automatically depending on intense graphical usage.

Is this Optimus, or Advanced Optimus? All settings for either are in NVIDIA Control Panel. You want "Automatic Select" for Advanced Optimus (if present), or "Optimus" (for normal Optimus) or NVIDIA GPU only to disable Optimus and use your 4070 only. Ensure both GPU drivers are up to date, also make sure your power plan is on Balanced or Performance. Also be aware that it doesn't always switch properly, you can select which GPU is used in NVIDIA Control Panel under Manage 3D settings -> Program settings (Select or Add then select the relevant program) -> Select Preferred Graphics Processor. It can also be changed in Windows (Win11) Settings -> Gaming -> Game Mode -> Graphics. Select the game with a left click, use the drop down menu to select GPU preference. I have all mine set to Let Windows decide. It does show which that GPU will be inside the brackets. I'm not entirely sure how relevant the Win11 setting is tbh as I just left it alone.

(Edit) To add:

I use reference drivers (NVIDIA, Intel) drivers for both the GPUs in my system with no issues. YMMV with this but be aware that there have been several updates to Intel drivers in the last month or so. At one point Optimus was not working for me, updating Intel GPU drivers remedied this. At the time, it replaced the Intel Graphics Software with Arc Control, and then back to Intel Graphics software. Seemed kinda weird..
