Question 4070ti troubleshoot

Hey I’ve just upgraded from a 2070 super to 4070ti and I’ve noticed that my fps is way worse than when I was using the 2070 super and if I plug the 2070 back in then my fps returns back to normal. I’ve also updated the bios, used ddu and still can’t get it to work. I also had a regular 4070 and had the same issues.

My specs are:
Ryzen 7 5800x3d
4070 ti
32 Gb ram
X570 motherboard
850w Corsair psu

Were they bought brand new or 2nd hand?

Hey there,

Which exact PSU do you have? There many Corsair 850w's.

When you updated the bios, did you clear CMOS afterwards? If not you need to do that.

I have the rm850x, I did not clear the cmos, will try it and post a update

Update, I cleared the CMOS and did ddu again and I'm still having the same issues. going to download a gpu tester to see what it scores

Let us know how that goes. Superposition and Furmark are good ones to use.

Found the solution, I needed to change it from auto to pcie 3 in motherboard bios and it started working properly.
