Old build:

Goal build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TWtRCd

GOAL: 4080s all white build, somewhat future proof, save money if possible.

What do you guys think?!

This will be a substantial upgrade no question. I still need an all white AIO with customizable screen if possible if you guys can recommend something nice.

How realistic using my old PSU for a 4080s will be?

How likely do you think I’ll be able to cop a 4080s at launch will be?

Any tips/tricks or edits would be greatly appreciated if anyone would change anything, all criticism is welcomed!

Yes, you definitely want a very good 850-1000w power supply for the 4080 Super. And preferably one that is PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0 compatible because power excursions (transient spikes) are very real on 4000 series cards especially the higher end models.

Also, is there a reason why you are willing to pay almost 200 dollars for 64GB of memory that you will almost certainly never even use more than half of unless you are planning to run sophisticated professional or scientific applications at a very high level, or some very extensive VMs?

If this is primarily a gaming machine, there is no way you are ever going to use more than 32GB, and most likely nothing even close to that, running any currently existing games unless you are also planning to run a ludicrous number of mods and overlays as well.

It also seems kind of crazy to pay over 300 dollars for a B650 motherboard when you could get a board with more features and additional PCIe lanes in an X670e model for that price, or less, and be able to afford that 4080s that much sooner. Just some thoughts.

What resolution will you be playing at?

If you intend on gaming at 1440P then I would give serious consideration to the RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB.

Example:

Case with far better airflow. You can replace the 140mm exhaust fan that's included with this case with the 140mm ARGB fan down below if you so choose.
