Hi everyone,
Let me get the specifications of my PC out of the way:
ryzen 5600x
rm1000w psu
32gb 3600 ram
msi gaming plus b550
msi trio 4090
LG 144hz 4k monitor and alienware QD OLED 3440x1440p monitor.
Here is the issue. Comparing my benchmarks to others with the same exact settings in both 4k and 1440p, i have been getting frames significantly lower than similarly specced machines with 4090.
for instance, i received 75.65 avg fps in cyberpunk at 2560x1440p while another person received 107 and the only other difference i can see in our systems is that he has a ryzen 7 vs my ryzen 5. he actually has an 850w psu while i have a 1000w. but during his benchmark, he was pulling 100+ watts than i was during my benchmark.
I have doubts that its just the processor difference between the 5 and 7 and i feel like the wattage might have to do with it.
my GPU usage was also 15-20% less than his as well.
anyone have any thoughts on this? How do i get my GPU usage higher and take more wattage?
thank you.
PS: i also have an i9 9900k system with similar specs that performed about the same or worse with the 4090. so more reason why i think its not the CPU but i could be wrong.
