Question 4090 monitor 1440p vs 4k

hi just got my new pc set up today 4090 with intel 13900k

So happy! got help from this forum to build it. But now my monitor is bit obsolete

. Was looking at some 4k hdr G-SYNC monitor but the ALIENWARE 34 -OLED AW3423DW got my attention

do you think only for gaming this 1440p monitor can be better that a 4k monitor of the same price ?

there also the ASUS PG32UQX that look the best you can get for gaming but for double the price (3000$+)

If anyone got advise or other monitor will be happy to hear it will on the hunt for black friday thx

for gaming ultrawide is pretty cool and that AW3423DW has pretty good reviews

otherwise comparing 16:9 with ultrawide...
4k @ 31.9" (16:9) = 137ppi = sitting at min distance of 64cm (25") from monitor
2k @ 34" (21:9) = 110ppi = sitting at min distance of 79cm (31") from monitor

Just when with ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ check so many review they all love it .

but after bought it ,continue read comment on rtings.com look like the hdr is broken for gaming and nobody in all the review online mention it is crasy and ok course they already ship my unit . people hope the next firmware will fix it. so bummed out right now .
