Hi

Just got a new 4k TV which i plug my PC in to to watch videos and browse the net. When i set the resolution to 3840 × 2160 the entire screen is not covered, there are two black bars on each side of the screen. To fix this i can change the res to 4096 x 2160.

My problem is that when i watch any video in full screen, the two black bars on each side come back. Is there any way i can fix this?

TV is LG 49UH610V
PC is running a GTX 1080

Cheers!

Ah i workd out a fix about 10 minutes after posting this, derp. I was approaching the problem the wrong way.

Rather than running 4096 x 2160 resolotuion and trying to fix the bars that occured in full screen videos, i instead switched down to 3840 x 2160 res and tried to fix the constantly occurring black bars. Found an answer on google almost immediately.

Just have to access your scale settings either on Intel HD or in my case Nvidia control panel an select scale to fullscreen.
