Adeptus Mechanicus and Adeptus Titanicus - Same mob or totally different?
I believe they're both based on Mars, and since they're both interested
(Okay, obsessed,) with machines, I've always drawn a link between them.

Still, they fight under a different banner and name, so perhaps that should
be enough to tell me?
Then again, it's not uncommon to see Mechanicus logos on titans...
Perhaps Mechanicus make the titans, and Titanicus crew them?

Feed my curiosity :)

Oddly enough, I don't recall it being spelled out anywhere.
I'm certain (with absolutely no proof) that the Adeptus Titanicus is a
subdivision of the Adeptus Mechanicus; those who crew, build and maintain
the Legia Titanicus.

Hang on a second...

Okay (had to grab a book...):

The Adeptus Mechanicus Collegia Titanica or Collegia Titanica is the
technological priesthood also known as the Adeptus Titanicus.
It is one of the fighting arms of the Adeptus Mechanicus. (paraphrased)

This all from "Adeptus Titanicus" the rulebook for the game of the same
name.
There is a great deal more about subdivisions of the Collegia but I doubt if
it will answer your question any further.

As with all 40k fluff, it may well have changed radically since the time of
this games' release.

the titan legiones are under the control and manned by the priesterhood of
mars
how ever just like the space marines the titan legiones have there own
'Chapters'
mars being the leading planet being the home of ?3? titan legiones
how ever.
the priesterhood does not decide where the titans fight.

so my opinion is: there is a big link but they are not the same mob

the adeptus titanicus is a distinct subdivision of the adeptus mechanicus.
actually it's a dedicated fighting division, like the skitarii and the legio
cybernetica. presumably the adeptus titanicus crew members are drawn from
various branches of the mechanicus according to their expertise (a reactor
technician is a reactor technician, after all), whereas important commanders
like princeps are specially-trained for the role (having to use mind-impulse
links and all that). despite obviously being an integral part of the AM's
armed forces, in traditional fluff the titanicus (or at least its officer
class) has many of its own military traditions and idiosyncracies -
understandable given the unique nature and history of their form of warfare.
so they're not just a bunch of tech-priests and cyborgs, or at least the
command echelons aren't.
