Under the new rules and newer IG codex can I still field a Tanith Army?

I used to play DE and my son SM and IG. I understand the doctrines concept
but a full tanith army does not seem to fall under this. I have a new 40k
rule book but can not find the new Codex to fully work out the options.
Looking more for a "yes and a hint" or a "No, use the models as ordinary
troops" answer until I can dig out our copy of the new codex.
Thanks in advance
Paddy

Even without special characters there are doctrine options to allow for
light infantry with sniper rifles and chameleoline cloaks.

Yes.

Sure it does. p.59 of the IG Codex gives all of the doctrines for a
Tanith army. Because you're playing Tanith, you get a couple extra
doctrines for "free".

yeah it does. it's in the back of the new codex. gaunt's also one of the
special characters.

Plus there are PDFs for rules for some of the other main characters too on
the GW site:

Thanks for all the replies. I still can not put my hands on our codex but
it nice to know its not going to be time wasted looking for the thing.

I also am suprised that I dont recall seeing the Tanith getting a mention.

Again Thanks

I'm not. it's like 2 sentences stuck in a little box right at the back of
the book. not difficult to overlook.
