Hi guys, not sure if you can help me. I'm using a Phillips 42PFL5522D/05 HD LCD TV as my monitor. I'm also using a Nvidia GTX 650ti and an intel i3-4130.

I'm not very good with this whole resolution thing. I just want to know what option to pick so that i can get the most out of my TV screen. It supports 720p, 1080i and 1080p. I have tried messing around with the Nvidia control panel and changing the resolutions, but noting past 1280x786 seems to fit!
Here is a link the the User Manual, if it helps. http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=42PFL5522D/05&hlt=Link_UserManuals&mid=Link_UserManuals&scy=GB&slg=ENG

Thanks for your time people, i hope you can help me out! :)

Solution
You'll see from the specifications that that is the native resolution of the display in your TV. You won't get better than that out of it. 1366x786 is the ideal resolution to use for the best display.

Thank you! That's just what i wanted to know. Eventually I'll buy a decent monitor that supports 1920x1080. But for now it's either my TV i use or my really terrible old monitor that doesn't even support 720p nevermind 1080p lol. 1366x786 will do me fine until then. Thanks guys! :)
