430w evga and msi 970 gaming

i have the evga 430w 80+ psu and i got recently a gtx 970 gaming.The psu have only 1x6+2 pcie and the gpu requires a 6pin and 8 pin.My question is if i can use an adaptor 2x molex to 1x6 pin?or should i not?
specs pc:
xeon 1240 v3
b85m-hds
16 of ram hyperxfury
cooler gamaxx s40
1 tb westerd hdd

On paper thats around 300w build wise.

An evga 430 does have the physical capability to power that card with a molex adapter.
In essence no 970 I've ever used really has the necessity for twin power plugs.

That said im not an advocate of using adapters , I have uses them in the past with no ill effect , I don't anymore.
Not when you can buy a decent psu with twin 8 pins for around $50 or so.
