Hello people, my query is straightforward. I have a core i5 4460 paired with 8GB RAM and a potato GTX1050. My performance in Battlefield 5 is abysmal. My CPU remains pegged at 100% usage at all times, and my GPU seems to be barely pushing it at 40-70% (barely exceeding). To me this is a clear indication of a CPU bottleneck, Singleplayer runs fine at the highest settings, and GTA Online suffers from the same issues (more people in my session the higher my CPU usage and the worse the lag). The above games run butter smooth in Single-player.

Now, if I swapped my 4460 for a 4770, would it in anyway help? I've seen videos of people playing Battlefield 1 (ONE) on the 4770 (videos comparing both CPUs, the 4460 and the 4770) and the difference is just day and night. I was wondering if Battlefield 5 would benefit from the extra threads like Battlefield 1 does. TY

PS: I am on a tight budget, the 4770 used is $240 in my country (freaking cheats I know, but this is India), and the 8400 is for some dumb reason $340 (because the Indian government wants to tax those who want to live like regular human beings (blamed the british for high taxes and now these criminals want us to finance their lavish lifestyles)) but all of this is a topic for another day.

Yes the upgrade would help, but as others have pointed out your 8GB RAM is also holding you back on these games, and the 1050 will likely only be good at 1080p with a fair chunk of the eye candy turned off.
