45 fps on Gta V with R7 and 1070

R7 1700x oc'd to 3.85ghz and Gtx 1070 with 8gbs of dual channel 2666mhz ram(Oc'd). Game usually runs fine in single player with around 100fps but once i get in online and intense situations it shits the bed. Also Msi Afterburner claims im only using around 6900mbs of ram which is crazy to think about cause windows alone uses like 4gbs.

That kind of ram usage is normal in games. I only have 8gb but my ram usage is usually in the 5-7gb range. Make sure your internet connection is solid.

My r3 1200 @3.7ghz struggles to get 60fps in that game when my gpu isnt the limit. It will stutter when in action. Im not sure if this is a game issue with amd cpus or not.

I dont think its a Amd issue cause with a i5 7600k it done the same thing same fps and everything

That game is cpu dependent. I have a thread going for a similar issue. I will post any solutions that worked here.

Oddly enough removing vsync and allowing my fps to be less stable, stopped the cpu issue and allowed for much better framerates. I would make sure vsync is off. My gtx 1050 and 1200 with high settings and no aa can get 75fps at 1080p.

About vsync i always have it off and recently i noticed my game run a little bit faster than its suppose to depending on fps could my cpu be broken or something? it was considered cheap when i bought it.

MMO games are generally CPU bound rather than GPU bound and on top of that are generally not Ryzen friendly. This may be because most MMO's are several years old and predate the Ryzen architecture and are thus not optimized for it.

Also don't forget that slowdowns in MMO's may not have anything to do with your hardware. It could be your Internet connection, or more likely a server or game engine overload because too much is going on at the same time from too many players.

I think its more of an issue than that. I am banned from gta online (dont ask) so i cant test there. In gta story i get 80fps, a little stuttery, with much weaker hardeare.

is it possible my ram overclock is bad or something? also im thinking about just getting 3200mhz 16gb ram cause i think its the ram

A ram overclock helps ryzen cpus a lot. That may help, but it is unlikely to solve the issue. What is your internet up and down?

up is 3mb/s down is 25mb/s but ping is 600

Thats causing your problem in GTA online. High speed internet for online multiplayer should be minimum 10 down and 1 up with less than 100 ping. Are you using wired internet or wifi? If you are using wifi what brand and model is the wifi transceiver in your pc? Also things like vpns can slow things down.
I just double checked and im unbanned from online. I get little lag issues even with my much worse setup, there so its definitely your internet messing things up. I get 50-100down (a little inconsistent)and only 6 up with 23 ping Over wifi with my phone. My pc has a cheap usb wifi dongle so its a little slower there, about 50-100down and 5up with higher ping, but does online fine.

I actually have a expensive wifi dongle but the net is sattlelite so nothing I can do there. I really do feel like the internet connection doesn't affect fps. Could you explain how it does im a little confused.

I may not know what im talking about but the game is peer to peer no servers just servers for your saves

Your computer still has to sync with other players to determine location, other players characters, and event data. Try a game like fortnite with a bunch of other players and you will see what i mean.

Right, he said satellite Internet. I don't know much about the current satellite technology, but I know in the past latency made it frustrating to use. I remember there were even schemes that paired satellite with dial-up to help smooth things out. I didn't even know online games were playable with satellite Internet.

well the only games i can play are gta v and yeah its about 550 to 650 ping

Well thats the problem. There is really no way to speed up that connection. You may be able to create an lte hotspot from a smart phone if you have high speed lte in your area. Lte should have much better ping than that connection.
