There's also the GTX 1070 ti which is $450 for the founders edition and between 450-530 for versions with aftermarket cooling however I don't think that even if you went with a 1080 ti it would be a worthwhile upgrade.

Dont think it would be quite a big upgrade? Even the vega 64 is far superior to the 980

They typically recommend 3 tiers above your current card to make a worthwhile upgrade but if you have money burning a hole in your pocket and aren't happy with the performance from the 980 then I would probably look at the 1080 ti.

Is the 1080 ti worth the 200 bucks extra over the vega 64?

All of these seem to be 2 tiers over my current card, so not a terrible upgrade ^^ Could use that extra gpu-mem, 4gb seems to be a bit bottle-necking atm.

I can't really say if it's worth the extra $200 over the vega but I did pay $800 for my 1080 ti so yea...

Yeah, I'd say its worth 200 extra, if those benchmarks are correct. Seems to be a hard judge tho, since the Vega has bad drivers so far, and is far superior in some titles compared to others :/

Got a Vega 64 MSI seller for 460$ now though, only been used a couple weeks, less than 2 months old. Could buy f2f to, which is a big plus. Similar pricing to the 1080, but super hard to say which is the better option! Most tests show 1080, but anything running DX12/vulcan is far favoring the 64.

He dropped the price to 430, so will probably grab that Vega card

Once I sell one of my old monitors and gtx 980, I will grab a freesync 1440p 144hz monitor. Considering that I can get one of those monitors for about 150-200$ less than it's G-sync equivalent, I just can't motivate the higher pricetag for a 1080 ti.

Getting it for about 300$ under new-price in my country, and should be able to get 1/2 the cost back when selling my 980 ^^
